Photo Effects App Reviews

Most of the best effects are in the "Photo Effects Lite" version, which is free for download. To my regret, this convinced me to buy the full version, hoping that in the advertised "over 400 effects", I would find more like those in the Lite version, but I was deeply disappointed. Most of the "effects" are useless stock animations piled on top of your image and makes them look cheesy and cheap. Some effects are repeated, others wont take effect and wont save. Even with my brand new iMac, the App will slow down with files over 3MB, and will crash with files 5MB or above. About 25% of the effects are really cool though, but not worth the $10. …but what do they care, they already got my money!

When I try Photo EffectsLite it was good and free,I was thinking that buying the full version is better and more effects to use,but I made a mistake to buy the Photo Effects full version,its almost the same as the free,always crashes and have a patience to reopen again.

Well, I guess there is a reason why this app is 50% off, its because it blows! When I first launched the app, none of the "photo effects" options showed up. I thought maybe if I dragged a photo into the browser (as instructed) my photo effect options would show up. Still nothing. I then restarted my lap top and tried it again. Some of the photo effect options showed up, but then the app made my macbook crash before I could even browse and flip through the photo effect options. Reluctantly, I restarted and thought Id give it one more go…of course, my macbook crashed again. Ive deleted the app, now if I could get my money back…. seriously, dont waste your time or money on this one.

I bought this app few days ago for $4.99 which I absolutely regret. It doesnt work. It only gave "ACCRYLIC COMIC" photo effects. All the stuff you suppose to get when you pay the paid version did not even come up. It also freezes up when you try to close the application. I tried reporting about this app and want a refund they did not even have the courtesy to reply. This is absolutely terrible and waste of money…I still want my refund.

I bought the program, installed it, tried one picture. The third effect crashed my computer. I restarted it and it happened two more times. Please send me a refund, Thanks.

Well the last update was wonderful because the program no longer crashes and can save video files (which it had stopped doing for a looooong time). Now it is work for me like it used to and should. I find it very handy for augmenting iMovie titles and transitions. The only problem I still have is that it rotates some of my pictures from profile to landscape or vice veras and there is no control to rotate the source image. It could also use a little more information on how to use the program but that can be figured out rather quickly. Lots of fun and thanks very much for getting it up and running again.

Easy to use, but sometimes it will shut down.
